Unlike using an abrasive, such as grit or sand etc, Sodium Bicarbonate particles remove contaminants by means of the energy released when the particles 'explode' on contact with the surface. This non-abrasive action allows it to be used on surfaces, which would be damaged by abrasive media like: aluminum, stainless steel, brick, stone, glass, fiberglass, wood, plastics, bearings, seals, hydraulic cylinders and many more.
